Yerke sylkym - a set of images of Kazakh girls
Poems, songs and kyuis have been passed down from generation to generation in the history of our great steppe. Kyi is the sound of people's heart. A tale composed and sounded by dombra gives listener a feeling of authorship, inner feeling and anxiety. Sometimes the author himself reveals his feelings and thoughts through the cues. Each cue is filled with mysteries born of inner trembling.
There is no Kazakh today that would hear the sound of dombra and remain uninspired. The melody stirs the blood that flows through the veins and gives radiance to the face, inspiring the soul. And the moment you listen attentively, the emotion in each note changes and harmony emerges.
The editors of Museofnomad will share the story of the creation of the Yerke sylkym kyu, which is popular in the country.
"Yerke Silkym is the work of Abdimomyn Zheldibayev, the famous Kazakh composer-kyushi and Honoured Cultural Figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Abdimomyn Zheldibaev was born on October 15, 1934 in Chui district of Zhambyl region. He graduated from Kazakh National Conservatoire after Kurmangazy. He graduated from Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy. A monument to his famous kyu "Yerke sylkym" was erected in 2011 in Chu kyushi town. The story of the origin of the zhyrau, which became a monument, is just as worthy of being dastan.
"Kyu needs loyalty and purity. Without these two components one cannot reach the hearts of listeners. The life of a kyu is short. My kyuis are born after long contemplation My kyuis are born after long contemplation," says the author. This cue carries the weight of power and responsibility. He spent 20 years to find the melody of "Yerke sylkym". The melody sounds the feelings that were kept in the depths of the heart for many years, and still does not lose its listener.
On the origin of the kyu: "We were young people like today's youth. We, too, were once single. And we used to choose girls from our villages to marry us. The heroine of this kyu exists in life. What can we do, fate has not united us with each other. When we met for the last time, I said: "no one can extinguish my love for you anyway". Except that she's aged a little with age, but otherwise she lives in the same village. Feelings don't get old. What was my love when I was a girl! I wandered for a long time thinking that even if I equated her to the "full moon", the "opening flower", I would still be unable to convey all the beauty of her soul and countenance. I finally realised that I could only convey my feelings for her through a soulful melody. That feeling has conquered my soul. It took me 20 years to find the melody of "Yerke sylkyma". How beautiful Kazakh girls are. What smooth movements, gait, manners! Even pampering suits them. This is the totality of images of all Kazakh girls. I tried to convey them. And I have been able to keep my word. Now these feelings of love cannot be extinguished by anyone. If my feelings towards her were false, if I didn't love Kazakh girls more than others, I would not have been able to compose this kyu, and it would not have become the property of the country", says the author himself.
