Domestic film "Tomiris" at the film festival in Turkey
The historical film "Tomiris" directed by Akan Sataev opened the Korkut Ata Turkic World Film Festival, which took place in Istanbul from November 8 to 12. In September, the Kazakh film was released in Turkey, it was shown in more than 200 cinemas, the press service Kazakhfilm reported".
42 films from 13 countries took part in the Korkut Ata Film Festival, which is being held for the first time this year. Filmmakers from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tatarstan and other countries of the Turkic world presented their best works, shot in the genres of historical and modern fiction, as well as documentaries and animation films.
In the fiction film competition for the main prize, the Kazakh film “The Kazakh Khanate. The Golden Throne "directed by Rustem Abdrashov, and the documentary program includes the film" Fire Flickering in a Vessel "directed by Bakhyt Kairbekov. A full-length animated film "Kultegin" directed by Adai Abeldinov was presented in the section of animated films from our country.
In addition, the program "Panorama of Historical Films" showed the film "Amanat" produced by Satybaldy Narymbetov. In the section "Modern Landscapes" the audience saw the picture "Oasis" by director Begars Elubai.
