Kazakh tennis player wins a ticket to the semi-finals of the Australian Open
At the Australian Open championship, the first racket of the Kazakhstani doubles Anna Danilina reached the semi-finals, the press service of the KTF reports.
In the quarterfinals of the competition in Melbourne, they, together with the Brazilian Beatrice Haddad Maya, met with Swedish Rebecca Peterson and the Russian Anastasia Potapova. In the first set, the Swedish-Russian pair took the lead with a score of 6:4. However, in the second, Anna and Beatrice made a reverse break and managed to equalize the situation with a score of 7:5. And in the third, decisive moment, the Kazakh-Brazilian pair won with a score of 6:3. The intense match lasted more than 2 hours. To reach the final, they will have to compete with Japanese Shuko Aoyamo and Ena Shibahara. In the quarterfinals, this pair beat Croatian Petra Martic and American Shelby Rogers with a score of 6:1, 6:4.
