Kazakhstan and Turkey joint project is expected

Kazakhstan and Turkey intend to shoot a joint historical series based on the Kazakh film "Tomiris" directed by Akan Sataev, filmed by the "Kazakhfilm" film studio together with the Sataifilm company. The project will be implemented by Turkey's leading TV channel - TRT TV and Radio Corporation, the press service of Kazakhfilm reports.

 

 

 This became known after the meeting of the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aktota Raimkulova with the representative of the Turkish channel within the framework of the Korkut Ata Turkic World Film Festival, which was recently held in Istanbul. The meeting was also attended by the leadership of the film studio "Kazakhfilm" - President Akan Sataev and Vice President Aydar Batalov.

In addition, an important document was signed during the festival, which will give a new impetus to the development of cooperation in the field of cinematography of the countries of the Turkic world. The agreement was signed by: Minister of Culture and Sports Aktoty Raimkulova, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Anar Kerimov, Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Azamat Zhamankulov, Director General of the Uzbekkino National Agency Firdavs Abdukhalikov and Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Mehmet Ersoy. As part of the document, the parties agreed to create a joint fund that will support the film industry of the Turkic world.

Also, within the framework of the Aktoty Raimkulova festival, together with the leadership of the Kazakhfilm film studio, she held a number of meetings with famous Turkish filmmakers and festival participants, where they discussed the implementation of joint film projects.

Recall that 42 films from 13 countries took part in the Korkut Ata Turkic World Film Festival, which this year was organized for the first time by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey. The following films of "Kazakhfilm" were shown in the competition program of the show: "Kazakh Khanate. Golden Throne" directed by Rustem Abdrashov, documentary film" Fire flickering in a vessel "directed by Bakhyt Kairbekov, animated feature film "Kultegin" directed by Aday Abeldinov, film "Amanat" directed by Satybaldy Narymbetov and others.

During the closing ceremony of the festival, the Kazakhfilm film studio was awarded a special prize for its contribution to the cinematography of the Turkic world. The Respect Award statuette was presented to the president of the film studio, Akan Sataev, by the famous Turkish actress Fakhriye Evcen.

Next year, the festival will be held in the Turkish city of Bursa. And in 2024 it is planned to be held in Kazakhstan. Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aktoty Raimkulov noted that the festival may be held in Turkestan, the spiritual capital of the Turkic-speaking countries.
