Kazakhstani for the first time in history won the medal of the Asian Table Tennis Championship

Table tennis player Alan Kurmangaliev became the first Kazakhstani to win a medal of the Asian Table Tennis Championship - our compatriot became the bronze medalist of the tournament.

Alan defeated Sanguanwong Xaipaseut (Laos), Aukadechchaikul Sittipol (Thailand), Pradhivadhi Bhayankaram Abhinandh (India).

In the semi-finals, he lost to the Japanese Takumi Tanimoto and won the bronze medal.

“This is our common victory! I want to say a huge thank you to everyone for their all-round support, creating all the conditions for us to return home with honor and with a reward and achieve new successes in the future. At the championship, Alan played well, won bright victories and demonstrated that he is one of the best young tennis players in Asia,” said Alan's coach Elmira Aliyeva.
