Kazakhstani wins youth rowing world championship

Eighteen-year-old Maria Brovkova from Uralsk won the gold medal at the World Youth Canoeing Championship in the U23 category.

The World Youth Championship in kayaking and canoeing took place in Hungary. Brovkova won the 1000m singles canoe event, finishing first in 4:35.69.

Prior to this victory, Maria's main achievement was the silver medal of the 2022 Asian Youth Championship. The athlete graduated from school in 2022 and trains under the guidance of her mother, Elena Brovkova.
