The restaurant of contemporary Japanese-Italian cuisine Matagi at Raffles The Palm Dubai hotel presents a luxurious brunch - the creation of brand-chef Mauro di Leo. It brilliantly embodies the Matagi concept, harmoniously melting Japanese and Italian culinary traditions into a single "itamesshi" style.

The brunch menu is comprised of sets including signature Matagi items: Hamachi crudo with botarga, sublimated raspberry, mango sorbet and Balfego red tuna tartare in a strawberry and caviar cone.

You will definitely want to try the mouthwatering appetizers: rock shrimp tempura, crispy fried squid in fragrant panko breadcrumbs with jalapenos, gedzu with shrimp and black cod. This unbeatable gourmet feast also includes exotic maki rolls with crispy chicken and quail eggs in teriyaki sauce, "california" with crab and avocado and tuna tartare with black truffle cream and fried leeks.

And there's also a main course to choose from - black cod in miso sauce with pickled Italian vegetables, wagyu beef striploin with lime ponzu and Maldon salt, and seabass rice in a clay pot with herb butter and crispy nori.

The inimitable brunch atmosphere is created by the hotel's musical curator Timo Higgs, who is responsible for the live music.

Brunch takes place every Saturday from 1pm to 4pm at Raffles The Palm Dubai, a premium hotel located on the island of Palma Jumeirah.
