Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa turns one year old

Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa opened in August 2021 , marking the long-awaited arrival of the Le Méridien hotel brand in one of the world's most enchanting and popular holiday destinations.

The appearance of the Le Méridien brand, founded in Paris in the 1960s, in the "beach paradise" was waited and waited for good reason: 154 villas were built for the guests of the resort, in the design of which the local flavor and European traditions of the mid-20th century were mixed - it was then that the Old World entered in vogue travel to the most remote countries.

Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa is spread over nine hectares of the natural island of Thilamaafushi (approximate translation from the Maldivian - "surrounded by large lagoons"), and its architecture is inspired by the shape of the archipelago: coral gardens, reefs, underwater peaks "Thilas", and woven into the interior modern aesthetics.

One and two bedroom villas are located on the edge of the rainforest or in the lagoon, and their residents enjoy an Instagram-perfect view of the Indian Ocean and white sand. Located on a private beach, Thilamaafushi Villa is a three-bedroom villa for families and large groups.

It offers six restaurants and bars, a water sports centre, the Explore Spa by Le Méridien and, for younger guests, the Le Méridien Family Club. This is not just a playroom: there are special programs for children, for example, "assistant marine biologist" or "young amateur gardener". Tired of the usual entertainment? Welcome to the uninhabited island of Bodu Finolhu for a rainforest safari!

Important! Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa does not exploit nature, but lives in harmony with it. The resort is engaged in the restoration of natural areas and the protection of coral reefs from damage, uses solar energy for lighting, and has also built a special waste recycling facility.

A few words about logistics. Le Méridien Maldives Spa Hotel is located in the southeastern part of Lhaviyani Atoll, from the airport of the Maldives' capital, Male, it can be reached in 35 minutes by seaplane. The starting price per night at the Sunrise Overwater Villa is $600, including breakfast and dinner.
