The film about the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site became the winner of the international film festival

Historical serial about  Semipalatinsk nuclear test site became the winner in the nomination "Best TV mini-series" of the international film festival "Moscow Russia International Film Festival 2022".

 

 

The film "Polygon" was shot by a Kazakh film director - Akhat Ibraev. A political detective reveals the story of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site. The action takes place in the late 1980s. The premiere of the six-episode series took place in December 2020 on “Khabar” TV channel. The main roles of the series were taken by well-known actors: Azamat Satybaldy, Yerlan Bilal, Zhandarbek Sadyrbaev, Sergey Matveev, Denis Annikov.

 

 

 In total, the competition presented works in 23 nominations. The judging team of the “Moscow Russia International Film Festival 2022” includes professional filmmakers from Russia, Germany, Canada, Austria, Spain, Mexico, Sweden, and Greece. Movie experts evaluated all submitted films. Films with the highest rank were selected for participation in the official competition. The best film projects were considered by judges who determined the winners in each category.
